Please describe why the nominee is a SEEN Changemaker:

Christin's goal is to eliminate Workplace Bullying. After suffering many years of this abusive treatment in the workplace, it is her mission to make sure that no other person should have to endure this treatment by their employer. Christin seeks to make this abusive and demeaning treatment illegal in our country. Her passion is to foster fair and equitable treatment in the workplace through legislation. Her Mantra is: it is unacceptable, in any way, to think that abuse is a condition for a salary or a paycheck. Her non-profit organization seeks to raise awareness, offer legal and mental health referrals, and a hotline for those suffering from workplace bullying.

Tell us about the individual’s accomplishments:

Christin has been an engineer for over 20 years. She has been actively involved in AWIM (A World In Motion) a mentoring program that supports the STEM programs in elementary schools. She is a past member of the American Business Women's Association-Ambassador Tri-County Chapter. She is also a licensed real estate agent. Christin greatest accomplishment is as a devoted wife, and mother of three children.

How is he/she impacting the community or the lives of people in Metro Detroit or across the world.

Through her nonprofit organization Christin is working tirelessly to abolish workplace bullying. Her goal is to help pass laws that will make this practice illegal.. to empower the powerless . Not only will these laws make the work life experience a better one, it will also allow those who are treated in this manner a means to seek restitution, if an employer is found responsible for such treatment. These steps will establish the workplace as a safe place...free from mental or physical abuse in our country.
