We get one full month of no school — make the most of these long days with extra special family fun. Follow along with LittleGuide Detroit and discover more events, activities and classes near you.
1. Visit the Oakland County Fair
Dinosaurs, Monster trucks, farm animals and carnival rides — The Oakland County Fair has it all! Don’t miss the 10 days of fun.
2. Plan a picnic at an orchard
Fruit tastes sweeter when you’ve picked it yourself! Plan a trip to an orchard and a picnic.
3. Go to a drive-in theatre
“Aladdin,” “Toy Story” and “The Lion King” are all back in the theater this summer! Add to the summer throwback, and take your kids to the drive-in!
4. Learn about space
Fifty years ago, Apollo 11 landed on the moon and changed what we believed as possible. Learn about space and inspire your little to reach for the stars at one of these local events.
5. Celebrate National Ice Cream Day
Celebrate National Ice Cream Day on July 21 with a trip to a new ice cream place around town! We love Ray’s in Royal Oak.
