Summer is almost over, and there’s still lots to do before school starts! Make the most of the time at home with your kids, and follow along with LittleGuide Detroit to discover events, activities and classes near you.
1. Unwind at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House
The Ford House is one of our favorite places to spend a beautiful day relaxing and exploring with our family – and with the newly opened visitor center, now is the perfect time to plan a visit.
2. “Get Away” Up North
Plan a last minute family camp trip to the YMCA’s Nissokone Family Camp for an Up North weekend getaway!
3. Spend a Day at Belle Isle
With the Belle Isle Aquarium and Belle Isle Nature Center back open – now is the perfect time to head to Belle Isle in downtown Detroit. And while you’re downtown, head over to the Outdoor Adventure Center, which just reopened too!
4. Plan an End of Summer Bash
Since school starts in a few weeks, plan an end of summer fun day full of unique family fun! iFly Detroit just opened and is perfect for adventurous families who want to “fly.” Or pamper your little ones with a fun “mommy + me day”.
5. Check Out a Car Show
It’s time for the Woodward Dream Cruise, but that’s not the only auto event in the Motor City. Here’s our guide to touch-a-trucks, car shows and cruises.
