It’s finally spring! Longer and warmer days are just what we needed — now there’s no excuse to not get out the house. Here are some of our favorite events happening in April. Follow along with LittleGuide Detroit and discover more events, activities and classes near you.
Cranbrook Institute of Science
Admission to the Cranbrook Institute of Science is free after 5 p.m. Learn about astronomy, geology, physics, anthropology and more — the museum is perfect for all ages. You won’t want to miss the Doom of the Dinosaurs exhibition that’s at the museum until Sept. 1.
Baseball is back, and Sunday is Family Day at Comerica Park! Kids 14 and under can ride the carousel and ferris wheel for free! And, after the game, kids can get in on the action and run the bases.
Bring your littles to see the von Trapp family live on stage at the Fox Theatre!
Worden Park, Royal Oak
On your mark, get set, go! 15,000 marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter to be exchanged for prizes!
Earth Day is April 22, and there’s plenty of events that will help us get our kids outside and involved with fun activities that give thanks to Mother Earth and all that she has to offer.
April 27-May 12
Greenfield Village, Dearborn
Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt are rolling into the station at Greenfield Village for their annual spring visit, and you don’t want to miss out on the fun.
