Go Comedy’s All-Star Showdown – Friday & Saturday
The All Star Showdown at Go Comedy in Ferndale is an interactive and improvised game show – they say it is one part “Whose Line is it Anyway” and on part “Match Game PM”. Either way, we are down for some laughs! They have 7:30 and 10:00 pm shows available both nights. Since they frequently sell out purchasing tickets ($20 general admission) in advance is highly recommended. BOOK NOW
2021 Arts & Apples Festival – Friday, Saturday and Sunday
The Paint Creek Center for the Arts in Rochester is hosting it’s famous Arts & Apples Festival in the cities 30-acre municipal park. This is one of the country’s top fine are fairs with 200+ art exhibitors, food trucks, music, entertainment and art activities all weekend long. There’s a reason this event has been around for 55 years – it’s incredible and you won’t want to miss this kick-off to fall in one of the state’s most picturesque cities. Parking can fill up quickly, so plan ahead and make use of the shuttles to and from Rochester High School.

Bring a blanket and some chairs and enjoy a mellow evening of music at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. This family-friendly event is free and includes a kids zone (games, crafts, face painting) that opens at 4 pm followed by music on the main stage at 5:00 pm.

Smokin’ Jazz and BBQ Blues Festival – Friday & Saturday
Smoked meat and even smokier tunes? The 15th annual Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival offers plenty of both. Hit Main Street from Grand River to First Street for ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and more, then wander over to Mill Pond Lane for live blues.
Saturday, Noon – 11:00pm
Enjoy a self-guided immersive and interactive tour of floral sculptures created by artists from around the country on the grounds of Meadowbrook mansion. This year’s artists are translating their favorite music into unique floral sculptures that will blow your mind. This event is family friendly. Tickets are $25 with discounts for seniors, students and members.
