The Great Marshmallow Drop

Friday’s forecast is going to be cloudy with a chance of marshmallows, because The Great Marshmallow Drop is happening on April 19 at 10 a.m. At this event, a helicopter will fly over Worden park to drop 15,000 marshmallows, and kids only need to find one for a prize. Children will participate in the following age groups: 4 and younger, 5 to 7 and 8 to 12. Admission is free.

On April 21, actor, playwright, filmmaker and comedian Tyler Perry will perform as Madea at Fox Theatre as part of “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour.” Perry has been playing the senior citizen Mabel “Madea” Simmons for nearly 20 years.
