From 6:30-9:30 p.m., guests will get dance lessons from dancers Paul Carryer and Mike Leach while jamming out to music by DJ Steve Diaz. Jazz up your Wednesday night and swing by Mr.B’s for a night full of dancing. Cover is $5 for the night, and $5 for the early lesson.

Friday’s forecast is going to be cloudy with a chance of marshmallows, because The Great Marshmallow Drop is happening on April 19 at 10 a.m. At this event, a helicopter will fly over Worden park to drop 15,000 marshmallows, and kids only need to find one for a prize. Children will participate in the following age groups: 4 and younger, 5 to 7 and 8 to 12. Admission is free.

This year, The Detroit Riot is partnering with Trice Clark, a local artist and maker, to host the event and give guests a chance to restyle some of their old items stashed away in their closets. On April 21, actor, playwright, filmmaker and comedian Tyler Perry will perform as Madea at Fox Theatre as part of “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour.” Perry has been playing the senior citizen Mabel “Madea” Simmons for nearly 20 years. Tickets start at $50 on Ticketmaster.
