Wyandotte Street Art Fair
The Wyandotte Street Art Fair is a four-day event celebrating its 61st year! Open daily from 10:00 am – 9:00 pm Wednesday July 13 through Saturday, July 16th, for one of Michigan’s largest fine art fairs Stoll historic downtown Wyandotte and the waterfront, visiting more than 200 fine artists, restaurants and local merchants. Farmington Area Founders Festival
The Greater Farmington Area Founders Festival is a summer tradition for over 55 years with parade, color run, craft fair and beer tent and more. Held at Shiawassee Park, this years event has expanded to include a 20+ ride carnival, food trucks, live music and fireworks on Saturday Night.
Farmington Fido Fest
One of the most popular attractions at the Farmington Area Founders Festival is Fido Fest! Held at Riley Park on Friday and Saturday, this canine-friendly event includes the Ultimate Air Dogs and Disc Dogs of Michigan Frisbee show, booths with the latest dog products, contests throughout the weekend and more! What’s more? Dogs are welcome in the beer tent on Friday and Saturday from noon to 6:00 pm to enjoy live music or one of the cooling pools. NOTE: Only well-behaved dogs allowed and must be on a 6′ leash. Owners are required to pick up after their pooch!

Get cultured this weekend and attend a showing of the 2019 Pulitzer Prize winning play, Fairview by Jackie Sibblies Drury, performed by the Detroit Repertory Theatre. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased hereor $25 at the door. The Theatre opens one hour before curtain time and sells food and drinks at the cash bar.

30th Annual Concert of Colors, Detroit Institute of Arts
This free festival is truly a celebration of love and culture from all over the world. Featuring live music from from Native Americas, Africa, Brazil, Puerto Rico, India, Ireland, and of course Detroit funk, rock, jazz and more! Festival goers will also be treated to a screening of the documentary film on the 30 years of the Concert of Colors and so much more. 5th Annual Detroit Festival of Books, Eastern Market
The Festival of Books is a perfect spot for book lovers. Organizers say they are dedicated to promoting the joy of reading and the rich culture surrounding it. This free event features vendors selling a variety of books, including rare and used ones. There will also be food, beer, and a live DJ playing funk music. detroitbookfest.com
