Who said wine pairings have to be fancy? Join Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room for a virtual pizza and wine pairing event, featuring combinations like Buddy’s “Belle Isle” pizza paired with Peninsula Cellars rosé. Registration is free and open to the first 90 people to sign up. Simply choose which pizza and wine pairings you would like to try and pick them up at the locations designated on the event page.
Grand Circus and the Royal Oak Public Library are hosting a free virtual intro to coding workshop. No prior coding experience is required, but basic computer knowledge is recommended. All you need is a computer with Google Chrome downloaded on it, access to Zoom, and to set up a free CodePen (a code editing website) account.
Single and looking to (virtually) mingle? Sign up for online speed dating, hosted by FilterOff, a video speed-dating app. You’ll be set up on three 90-second dates, then you can decide if you’d like to take things to the next level and ask someone out on a real date! This event is free, but registration is required.

Flowers for Dreams has partnered up with Sweet Shot Cookies to host a V-Day-themed virtual workshop! Learn how to decorate Strawberry Elderflower Sprinkle & Double Chocolate cookies and create a beautiful rose arrangement. Tickets are $95 and must be purchased by February 5 to ensure that all the supplies you’ll need can be shipped to your house in time.

Flourish and Studio Terrain are hosting a Valentine’s Day pop-up at Bea’s Detroit in Eastern Market. You can place a preorder for pick up or shop a limited amount of cookies, cakes and flower arrangements in person on February 13th and 14th. While you are there, be sure to try Bea’s February drink specials, like “Hug in a Mug,” made with vanilla syrup, honey and espresso.

Aura Aura is popping up at Grey Area this month to offer aura portrait sessions, and due to popular demand, they have added more time slots for Valentine’s Day! Book a 5-minute session for you and your love for $80 and receive a portrait of you two together in your aura and a brief interpretation of your aura colors.
Get dressed up and have some fun at home with a virtual murder mystery party! Hosted by the Plymouth Historical Museum, “A Flapper Murder at the 1920’s Speakeasy” will take place via Zoom. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through Eventbrite.
Artini, a cocktail competition and fundraiser, is going virtual this year for their 13th annual event. The Ann Arbor Art Center has partnered with Ann Arbor Distilling Co. to provide participants with four canned cocktails inspired by the A2AC murals and created by four celebrity bartenders. Tickets are $125 and attendees must be 21 or older to participate.
