Genusee is an eyewear company that sells glasses and sunglasses made from recycled water bottles as part of its mission to bring jobs to citizens in Flint. Sunglasses and eyeglasses start at $99. Shopping is one thing, but shopping with a brand with a good cause is even better.

Put your artistic talents to the test and compete in the 2019 Motown Mic Competition at the Motown Museum. Every Friday from 8-10 p.m., poets can perform their original pieces in an open mic setting at Motown Museum and compete to perform at the grand finale at the Garden Theatre. The winner will receive a $1,500 cash prize and be crowned “The Spoken Artist of the Year.” Show Detroit what you’re made of and compete in the 2019 Motown Mic Competition.
