Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan Fashion Exhibition, Detroit
The Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan Fashion Industry Club is putting on a fashion exhibition to showcase the designs and collections they have been working on. Trust us when we say you won’t believe these talented designers are teenagers. You can celebrate and support their hard work by attending the show at the 611 West Philadelphia event space. Doors open at 6:0 pm and the fashion show starts promptly at 7:30 pm. You are sure to see spot some future fashion design stars!

Sheefy McFly Experience at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra
5:00 pm – 10:30 pm
This multi-sensory event with Detroit artist and DJ, Tashif “Sheefy” McFly across the DSO campus is going to be epic. Starting with an art pop-up with Sheefy DJ’ing, followed by his the reveal of his newest work, and finally a performance and live painting with the Urban Art Orchestra. Detroit Music Weekend: Celebration of John Lee Hooker and the Women of Blues, Detroit Music Hall

Blues lovers are not going to want to miss this years Detroit Music Weekend, as they play tribute to John Lee Hooker. John Lee Hooker was working as a janitor in Detroit when his first hit single was released and he often played the bars and clubs on Hastings Street of Paradise Valley. His daughter, Zakiya Hooker will accept the Mayor’s Key to the City on her fathers behalf!
The festival will also celebrate the “Women of the Blues” with a line-up of artists including Zakiya Hooker, Ana Popovic, Bettye LaVette, Thornetta Davis and more.
