We want your Thanksgiving recipes to feature in the November issue of SEEN Magazine
For a lot of Americans, Thanksgiving dinner is about much more than turkey and pumpkin pie. The holiday presents a chance for all of us to honor our own heritages and celebrate our unique culinary traditions. After all, we all came from somewhere at some point.
SEEN wants to hear the stories behind the most cherished — and “nontraditional” — dishes on your Thanksgiving table, the ones that nod to your family’s history and that you will, in turn, pass on to the next generation. These can be takes on common Thanksgiving dishes (think a curry-brined turkey or Italian-style roasted potatoes) or entirely new recipes inspired by your family’s traditions and culture.
SEEN will select a few recipes (and the stories behind them) to feature in our November issue. Please submit your recipes with a few sentences about their origin and why they’re important to you by September 13.
