Recently, I have been seeing a lot of posts and information about Emsculpt on social media, so when offered the opportunity to try it out, I couldn’t refuse!

I did some research about Emsculpt and learned it is an FDA-approved body contouring treatment with no down time, no side effects and visible results after at least four 30-minute sessions scheduled three to four days apart.

My first appointment was with Dr. Elan Reisin at Star Plastic Surgery. I was a little anxious, as I didn’t know what to expect. Any anxiety I had about the procedure quickly dissipated when Dr. Reisin came into the room and explained what was about to take place. He described the Emsculpt machine as a mini MRI machine that induces muscle contraction — building muscle while also burning fat.

I decided to do Emsculpt on my abdomen in hopes of getting a little more tone and ab definition. A paddle was placed on my abdomen and hooked up to an Emsculpt machine. During the procedure I felt episodic vibrations on my abdomen. I could feel my muscles contracting with some “relaxation periods,” as doctors call them, where I experienced a slower tapping motion on my abdomen. There wasn’t any pain, and it was over before I knew it.

I felt sore the next day as if I had worked out — after all, they say it’s equivalent to doing 20,000 sit-ups in 30 minutes! My experience with Dr. Reisin and his entire staff at Star Plastic Surgery was pleasant and comfortable, from entry in the beautiful lobby to the end of my session.

It’s been only two treatments, and I already feel a difference. I definitely recommend it and am excited to continue with the rest of my sessions!
