SEEN Magazine is now Women-Owned and Operated

On this International Women’s Day, we are excited to announce that SEEN Magazine is now women-owned and operated by Carol Kruemmer and Amy Gill of SEEN Media Group.

Dear SEEN Magazine readers and friends, Spring is almost in the air, and with it, a new beginning — not only in terms of the season but also here at SEEN Magazine.

After six years, SEEN’s founder and CEO, Kevin Browett, has decided to return to his roots in the healthcare field, accepting a position as CEO at the Michigan Institute for Neurological Disorders (MIND) in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

We are thrilled for Kevin and also very excited to announce that we are the proud new owners of SEEN Magazine. This is a dream-come-true moment for both of us.

We’ve both worked alongside Kevin to build and grow SEEN Magazine into an incredible media company connecting local individualized experiences through content and commerce.  We are deeply passionate about all things local and believe that to live a richer and fuller life, you need to make meaningful connections with the people, places and businesses in your neighborhood. We tell those stories, leveraging technology and our magazine to make it easier to discover, shop and support local.

In addition to fostering connections with Metro Detroiters through our stories, our parent company, SEEN Media Group, will do the same for local businesses. SEEN Media Group is a concierge agency with services that include content marketing, video, events, digital marketing, and custom publications. Our goal is to support creators and innovators throughout Michigan by telling their stories and uplifting their brands.

Life is messy, technology is fast and there’s so much information out there. We believe that to live a more meaningful life, you must make real connections with the people and businesses in your community — and that’s exactly what we intend to help our readers and clients do. About Amy Gill

Amy previously served as SEEN Magazine’s chief operating officer. She first joined the company in 2017 where she was charged with rebranding the magazine and building its website and digital presence from the ground up.

Gill began her early career building corporate curriculum and training programs at Rock Financial and Quicken Loans, before moving to downtown Detroit to help grow Dan Gilbert’s start-up accelerator, Bizdom, providing funding, mentorship and space for tech start-ups.

She assisted in the development of more than 40 startup companies before leaving to partner with Rachel Schostak and take on the CEO role at Styleshack.com, which was the basis for SEEN’s e-commerce platform.


About Carol Kruemmer

Carol served as SEEN Media Group’s vice president of sales and business development, where she developed a growth strategy for the magazine and identified new markets to connect SEEN readers with local business owners.


A 16-year veteran, Kruemmer has held roles with organization such as Media News Group and Digital First Media. Her various roles have concentrated on being a visionary and strategic leader, translating results-oriented strategies into management practices that are commensurate with the best interest of clients, audience and community.
