Quick and Easy Miso Salmon Recipe

September 25, 2018

Need a dinner dish when you’re in a pinch? Try this tasty miso salmon recipe that’s easy to prep and sure to impress.

By Stephanie Beer

Salmon is always one of my go-to dinners — it’s quick, easy to make and delicious. This is one of my favorite ways to whip up dinner when I’m in a pinch, and it stores great for lunch the next day if you have leftovers. Salmon is also an easy dish to prep when you’re hosting a dinner party because it doesn’t require a ton of watching or kitchen prep, and this recipe in particular is always a hit with my guests.

Make sure that you always buy a quality wild (instead of farm-raised) salmon, as it will have the most nutrients and fatty acids that make salmon so healthy in the first place.

Servings: About 4

2 pounds wild salmon (cut into four or five pieces or whole)
1 ½ tbsp. miso paste
1 ½ soy sauce (can sub tamari or coconut aminos)
1 ½ tbsp. water
1 tbsp. maple syrup
Sambal Oelek chili paste or red pepper flakes for an extra kick

1. Mix all sauce ingredients together using a whisk, making sure to break up the miso paste.
2. Lay your salmon pieces on a sheet of parchment paper or foil on a cooking tray after rinsing.
3. Coat each piece of salmon equally until most of the surface is covered.
4. Broil on high for about 15-20 minutes. The top of the salmon should be a little bubbly.
