A guide to local hotlines, community organizations and resources amid the COVID-19 crisis

See below for a list of hospitals, health organizations, community organizations and non-profits that are coming together to help people and businesses during this unprecedented health crisis.

Medical Facilities, Departments and Hospital Hotlines

Contact one of these resources BEFORE seeking care at a hospital, unless you are in an emergency situation.

Macomb County Health Department COVID-19 Helpline: 586-463-3750
Helpline is open 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., seven days a week.

Food Banks and Food Organizations

Food Gatherers (Ann Arbor area)
If you or someone you know needs food, Food Gatherers has a network of food pantries and meal programs to help. Go to www.foodgatherers.org/needfood to access an up-to-date  list or call Food Gatherers at 734-761-2796.

Gleaners (Metro Detroit)
To speak to an operator for emergency food assistance, call 211. If you are unable to reach Michigan 211 by dialing directly, call the statewide toll-free number: 1-844-875-9211


Community and Family Support Organizations

Small Business Financial Support

Michigan Small Business Relief Fund

According the the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s website, the Michigan Small Business Relief Program will provide up to $20 million in support for small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19. The funding is divided between $10 million in small business grants and $10 million in small-business loans to support businesses facing drastic reductions in cash flow and the continued support of their workforce. Funds for the program are expected to be available no later than April 1, 2020
