Here in Metro Detroit, COVID-19 is affecting all of our lives. In this new series from SEEN, we check in with local influencers to find out how they’re dealing. Hilary Schwartz — who owns Detroit Wick and Trip Wipes with her husband, Doug — weighs in

1. How has the Coronavirus impacted your daily routine and life overall?

Doug and I both really enjoy going out to eat and doing social activities so it has definitely affected that. It feels weird to take caution when it comes to food, exercise and being in public places. We are continuously on the go and around a lot of people so that has been a change.

2. What are you doing to stay “sane” during this time?

Our 8-month-old son, Haze, keeps us very busy, so that has been a nice way to keep our mind off of the recent slowdown in our daily schedule. Being positive plays a huge part in your sanity. We know this will pass and we want to do our part to help slow the spread. As a community and country we really need to try and ride this out in a responsible way.

3. What measures are you taking to keep you and your family safe?

Hand health is Number One! When making necessary stops in public it is extremely important to keep your hands clean. The best way to stay safe is to stay home right now.

4. Can you share any recommendations for things to do to stay busy? 

We just watched McMillions and thought it was pretty good. Doug is catching up on Shark Tank. Melissa Wood has a great website with at-home workouts while gyms aren’t open. Also, SPRING CLEANING!! Trying to get a head start on cleaning out my closet and looking forward to warmer days.
