1. How has the Coronavirus impacted your daily routine and overall life?
Since we work in the medical field [as physician assistants], our daily routine has not changed too much. We don’t have the option of staying home at this time. It has been more difficult for us knowing we may be potentially putting our family and loved ones at risk. We are trying to stay positive during this time and carry on like we normally would.
2. What are you doing to stay “sane” during this time?
We have a lot of group chats where we help encourage each other to stay positive and keep things in perspective. Meditation/yoga at home. It also helps that we work at the same hospital and are able to keep each other company and experience this together.
3. What measures are you taking to keep you and your family safe?
Lots of HAND WASHING. Keeping our cars and work equipment sanitary. Constantly sanitizing the house and keeping it clean. Social distancing as much as we can. This is so important and needs to be taken seriously!
4. Can you share any recommendations for things to do to stay busy?
We are still going to work every day, so majority of our time has been spent at the hospital or keeping up to date on the pandemic status. Our social calendars have been put to a halt as well. We have mainly been filling the time with TV-streaming apps! Netflix and Hulu are godsends. Amal also keeps busy with her two little ones while Lora is trying to focus her energy on pursuing creative hobbies such as tie-dyeing and re-learning how to use a sewing machine 🙂
We should take advantage of this time, see the positive, and use it to focus on things that we never have time for.
