Make the most of summer’s end with fun things to do in Metro Detroit this weekend, from the Renaissance Festival and a 90’s themed bar crawl to Ninja Turtle Day at the ballpark

Canterbury Village is home to the 2nd annual Michigan Made Festival, which features unique art as well as Michigan beers, cider, wine, and food. There will also be entertainment throughout the weekend, including live music, bounce houses, magicians, Monster Truck rides for children and more.

Downtown Royal Oak
The 90’s are back! Pull on your best flannel shirt, babydoll dress or Doc Martens and head to downtown Royal Oak for a bar crawl you won’t soon forget. Tickets get you a wristband to access drink specials at all participating locations, including City Tavern, Motor City Gas, The Side Bar, 526 Main, Tequila Blue, The Morrie, O’Tooles, Fifth Avenue, Oak City Grille, Pronto, Royal Oak Taphouse and more!

Huzzah! The Michigan Renaissance Festival is back this year. Grab a turkey leg and a cup of mead and experience life in a 16th century, European-style village. Enjoy shows and entertainment on 18 stages, shop from 150 artisans and get a thrill from live jousting tournaments.

Jimmy John’s Field

Baseball meets Ninja Turtles at Jimmy John’s Field, where the Eastside Diamond Hoppers go head to head against the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers for a seven-inning minor league game. Kids 12 and under will get a free hot dog, chips and a drink — and they can also meet their favorite Ninja Turtle characters and build a craft at the Kids Club Craft Table.
