We sent Birmingham local Bridjet Morris to the recently opened Metro Detroit Drybar to model this season’s hottest hairstyle trends for fall.
This polished look is sleek and straight, and could be seen at Ports 1961, Dior and Alberta Ferretti runway show.
Get the look: Drybar stylist Rebecca Stevens started with Prep Rally to detangle and prime the hair. Then she used Southern Belle Root Lift and Southern Belle Mousse to give volume and fullness to the hair before blow-drying. After blow-drying, she finished the look with Chaser Shine cream to keep ends smooth and used Money Maker hairspray to keep fly-aways at bay.
The Mai Tai
These natural waves reminiscent of beach hair were all over the runways at Jill Stuart, Tory Burch and Coach.
Get the look: Drybar stylist Kelli Van Harn prepped Bridjet’s wet hair with Prep Rally, followed by Mai Tai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray for a beachy texture. After curling her hair, she finished with Drybar’s number one selling product, Triple Sec 3-in-1. It’s sprayed into the hair to texturize and amplify the style. It is great on just-washed hair, or the 2nd or 3rd or 4th day…because let’s be honest, we want longevity!
Various braid styles were seen at the Naeem Khan, Simone Rocha and Jill Sander shows. These fun and flirty braids are an unexpected way to add pizazz to your girl’s night out or even for a casual daytime look running around town.
After creating the beachy waves of the Mai Tai, Drybar stylist Kelli Van Harn added Detox Dry Shampoo to create even more texture. She added a bit of Whiskey Fix styling paste on the hair she braided, a fantastic trick to keep slippery hair in place. Finally, a shot of the Sheriff hairspray was applied to hold it all together.
