Raising awareness and proceeds for the Detroit Crime Commission Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative
SIP SHOP and SUPPORT as Closet NV in West Bloomfield an upscale designer consignment store will be hosting the Detroit Crime Commission and South Oakland Shelter on Thursday, February 9th. Shop from 10:00AM to 8:00PM. The day will raise awareness as well as proceeds will benefit the Detroit Crime Commission Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative.
Attendees are asked to donate items for South Oakland Shelter for Homeless men and women. Items can be dropped off at Closet NV is on The Boardwalk located at 6889 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield starting February 1st through February 9th.
Donations may include: pant suits, skirts, blouses, dresses, blazers, pumps with low heels, sweaters, slacks, handbags, jackets, new or gently used bed pillows, new underwear (men/women/children- all sizes), laundry detergent and household cleaning supplies; plus non-perishable food to help restock their pantry and other items good for an interview. South Oakland Shelter is also in need of bus passes which can be purchased at www.smartbus.org/Fares/Buy-Passes.
There will be an opportunity to meet the Detroit Crime Commission staff and South Oakland Shelter for the Homeless staff members from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PMto learn more about the Detroit Crime Commission Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative and the South Oakland Shelter for the Homeless.
This event is being co-chaired by Task Force Members, Margie Anastasia, Shelley Murphy and Closet NV Co-Owners, Lisa Rosenberg and Robin Bloom.
