Dr. Mary Sue Stonisch of Faircourt Dental takes a unique approach to caring for patients, with innovative technology, customized treatments, and compassion
What does your smile say?
Dr. Mary Sue Stonisch, says your smile is a window into your wellness that speaks volumes. She has dedicated her entire esteemed career to making — and keeping — her patients well.
41 years ago, while in high school, Dr. Stonisch realized that dentistry was her passion and has not looked back. Nor has she stopped learning, giving, solving, or creating, and today she is a decorated premier aesthetic dentist with numerous advanced certificates from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Her team’s approach at Faircourt Dental Smile Studio and Implant Center in Grosse Pointe Woods involves an extraordinarily customized perspective that you have likely not encountered elsewhere.
From cleanings, fillings, and bite related issues to exquisite state-of-the-art veneers and implants; every treatment is individually tailored to each patient, and there is seemingly no problem that she and her team cannot go “outside the box” to fix.
Her success can be attributed to a few key factors in how she approaches dentistry.
First, Dr. Stonisch takes Susan B Anthony’s words to heart, “Failure is Impossible”. It is this unwavering resolve getting to the root of every dental problem and solving it, that drives her approach to seeking solutions through research and science.
Dr. Stonisch gives this example of driving positive results. She says, “I have patients come to me who have been told that their bleeding gums are just part of their DNA makeup and will always be an issue. I say absolutely not! Research does not support persistent bleeding gums in healthy patients. Let’s diagnose and correct it.”
Second, Faircourt Dental Smile Studio and Implant Center seeks out the most innovative technology in the world to service their patients. For example, the team uses a revolutionary GPS-guided navigation system to greatly improve the accuracy and precision of position, angle, and depth of dental implants. They also use prepless veneers that are placed without drilling and are so thin, fabrication and application require highly specialized technicians.
One of only 36 women in the world, Dr. Stonisch is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics and also a Diplomate with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She is a mentor at the prestigious Kois Dental Center in Seattle, where dentists are taught premier, evidence-based dentistry.
A Philanthropist at Heart
Dr. Stonisch gives in many ways and can be seen continually guiding and teaching young talent in the Studio and out. In 2018 she led a mission trip to Malawi with her staff to teach oral care and its wellness results.
She is also a lecturer, author, innovator with three patents, and a wife and mother who says her biggest accomplishment in life is raising three children to be productive and giving adults.
In closing, Dr. Stonisch says “As Mother Theresa declared, peace begins with a smile. I fully embrace this and have made it my life’s work to create amazing and healthy smiles for every patient.”
Schedule your consultation with Dr. Stonisch today and experience the difference modern dentistry can make. As Dr. Stonisch says, “Allow your smile to say it all.”
