5 Cocktails to Sip After Thanksgiving Dinner

Top off your Turkey Day with a delicious nightcap bursting with festive flavors

Thanksgiving is almost here! Get ready to chow down on turkey, sides, succulent desserts — and don’t forget to wind down (or turn up!) with a nightcap. Here, five easy-to-make seasonal cocktails to sip after the big meal.

Chocolate White Russian

 Thanksgiving cocktails

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz. coffee liqueur
  • 2 oz. heavy cream

Directions:

In shaker with ice, add all ingredients. Shake and pour into glass over ice. 

Cranberry Mule

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz. vodka
  •  2 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • Top with ginger beer
  • Fresh cranberries and lime wedge for garnish

Directions:

In shaker with ice, add vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice. Shake and pour into glass over ice.  Top with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh cranberries and lime wedge.

Cinnamon Bourbon Sour

 Thanksgiving cocktails

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz. bourbon
  • 1 oz.  fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz. maple syrup,
  • Splash of sour mix
  • Cinnamon sticks or cinnamon powder for garnish

Directions:

In shaker with ice, add all ingredients. Shake and pour into glass over ice. Garnish with cinnamon sticks or cinnamon powder. 

Sparkling Sidecar

 Thanksgiving cocktails

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz. cognac
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. orange liqueur
  • top with sparkling wine or champagne 
  • Sugar for rimming
  • Lemon or orange twist for garnish

Directions:

Rim glass with sugar. In shaker with ice, add Cognac, Lemon Juice, and Orange Liqueur. Shake and pour into glass over ice.  Top with Sparkling Wine or Champagne. Garnish with orange or lemon twist.

Thanksgiving Sangria

 Thanksgiving cocktails

Ingredients: 

  •  1 750 ml. red wine
  • 2 oz. spiced rum
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ½ cup orange liqueur
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • Orange, apple, and lemon slices

Directions:

In pitcher, add all ingredients. Stir with large spoon. Chill in refrigerator. For best results, chill overnight.  

Thanksgiving MOCK-mosa

Ingredients: 

  • 1 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1 oz. pomegranate juice
  • Top with sparkling cider
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish

Directions:

In glass with ice, add cranberry juice and pomegranate juice. Top with sparkling cider. Garnish with fresh cranberries.
