KING TUTANKHAMUN: "Wonderful Things" from the Pharaoh’s Tomb January 17 - August 22, 2022 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of the boy Pharaoh (King), Tutankhamun. Described as an innocent puppet-ruler, Pharaoh Tut was caught in the middle of a political, spiritual, and artistic revolution, initiated by his father, Pharaoh Akhenaten. Teens Work Out for Free at Orangetheory Fitness-Detroit

Orangetheory Fitness Detroit 2911 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit

Orangetheory Fitness-Detroit is launching its “More Life for Detroit Youth” summer program to help Detroit teens live a healthier lifestyle. From June 1-August 31, local students ages 14-18 are invited to take advantage of Orangetheory’s popular science-based workout, centered on heart-rate based interval training and led by highly trained and certified coaches, free of charge. The workouts incorporate endurance, strength, and power to generate the ‘Orange Effect’ – which keeps calories burning for up to 24 hours after a 60-minute workout. Certified fitness coaches will be on-hand to guide local high school students through an Orangetheory workout and offer options for all levels from beginner to year-round athlete. Hits! Open auditions for singers and dancers for brand new national touring show! The auditions take place at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center on Thursday, July 7 at 8:30 AM Eastern. This is in advance of the April 15, 2023 performance at the Royal Oak Music Theatre as part of the national touring show. Hits! is comprised of several high energy production medleys. It will take audiences on a musical journey through the decades, highlighting the most iconic hits of all time in Pop, Rock, Hollywood, and Broadway. With over 400 costume changes, fast-paced production medleys and electrifying dancing, it will thrill audiences young and old. The show will feature a cast of 22 members, singers and dancers between the ages of 8-21, who will perform some of music’s most iconic hits. "Bleacher Talks" activate the temporary sculpture "The Kiss", featuring two bleachers borrowed from Cranbrook Schools campus. Typically staged on opposing sides of the field, Winston brings them together to bridge a conversation within his exhibition, "Tyrrell Winston: A Tiger’s Stripes." This event is free and open to all!
