Voting Matters Exhibition
Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History 315 East Warren Avenue, DetroitVoting Matters is an interactive multimedia exhibition that illustrates the work of African Americans from pre-Reconstruction through the present day, in the development of the basic principles and values surrounding our current understanding of what it means to have the “right to vote” in democratic societies around the world. This modular exhibition consists of five parts: Pre-Reconstruction/Reconstruction (1870-1877), Post-Reconstruction (1888 - Today), The Women’s Suffrage Movement, Electoral College, and Gerrymandering.
