The Born and Raised event was held on June 17 at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit. The Born and Raised Detroit Foundation supports initiatives that “contribute to building a stronger community and positive way of life for the youth of Detroit,” the website states. All proceeds benefit young Detroiters. The event celebrated the birthday of one of the founders Patrick Thornton and also unveiled a new logo.
