The Beaumont Heart & Style luncheon is a collaboration between the American Heart Association and Beaumont Health to raise awareness about heart health. The event May 17 included a Champagne welcome, silent auction, luncheon and fashion show — emceed by Mariana Keros and Fox 2 News anchor Monica Gayle — Somerset Collection retailers and the latest trends.
Afternoon Takeaway
One in three women is impacted by heart disease, and it’s important to spread awareness about making sure we take the proper measures to get checked and screened. Some of the women featured walking down the runway are survivors of heart trauma. It was an eye-opening afternoon hearing about their stories — many of them were healthy and no symptoms of heart issues.
