Want to add a new furry friend to your family? Meet Flora, the Detroit Animal Care and Control’s dog of the week. She’s available for adoption and looking for her forever home!

Meet Flora, a three-year-old, 45-pound female who loves belly rubs, car rides and kisses! She is good with other dogs and loves a good play session. Flora knows basic commands such as no, sit, lay-down and is currently working on stay. She is very gentle, doesn’t “resource guard” and has done well with eating next to other dogs and having toys or food taken away from her. While Flora has not been exposed to children, her foster moms believe she would do really well around them considering she seems very aware of her body and doesn’t use her mouth when playing. She is potty trained but not spayed (yet).
