The Detroit Zoo’s gates will remain open until dark for its annual family-friendly Halloween celebration. The event will include a festive half-mile trick-or-treat trail, live entertainment and extreme pumpkin carving. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased here, along with $8 for parking.

Downtown Royal Oak
Halloween has come early! Throw on your best costume and head down to Royal Oak for the annual Halloween Pub Crawl. Tickets include a lanyard for $3-$5 beer, cocktail and shot specials at participating locations, a keepsake photo, Halloween-themed swag, karaoke and free drawings. Purchase tickets here for $20.

Carnevale di Venezia —The Grand Masquerade Ball

Come out to the Townsend Hotel for the annual Grand Masquerade Ball. Attendees will enjoy an evening filled with music, entertainers, drinks and mystery. Dress code is black tie for men and gala or cocktail for women. Of course, a venetian or masquerade mask is required for entry. Tickets start at $39 and can be purchased here.

Come out to Northville Winery and Brewing Company for a spooktacular night! The event will include food from the Lobster Food Truck, drinks, live music and a costume contest. Other fall treats, like cider and donuts, will be available for attendees to enjoy.

For the 36th year, Royal Oak Spooktacular is bringing Halloween fun for the whole family to the downtown area. Spooky pass holders can attend a Monster Mash party from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 at spookyroyaloak.com. Enjoy free trick-or-treating at over 35 Royal Oak businesses from 1-4 p.m.

Houdini’s All Hallows Eve Ball

Roam the halls of The Detroit Club for an extravagant event on Halloween night. Guests will be entertained by acrobats, snake charmers and fire breathers through the clubhouse, while live music and dancing can be found in the ballroom. There will also be fair foods from the 1920s for guests to enjoy like cotton candy, sausages and hot potato mash. Attendees are required to dress the part in full 1926 glamour — dark suits for the men and flapper dresses for women. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased at detroithistoryclub.com.
