Dec. 1-15

Toys for Tots Drive

Via Marine Toys for Tots Foundation’s Facebook

11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Sedona Taphouse Troy

198 E. Big Beaver Road, Troy

Dine and donate at Sedona Taphouse, which will be a drop-off site for Toys for Tots until Dec. 15. New, unwrapped toys will be accepted by the U.S. Marine Corps and distributed to children in need.

2019 Holiday High Tea

3-5 p.m.

The Townsend Hotel

100 Townsend St., Birmingham

Head to The Townsend for Holiday High Tea hosted by Shirley Maddalena, principle designer of Maddalena Design. Guests will be treated to finger sandwiches, cakes and tea plus a silent auction, raffle and music. Proceeds will benefit the Alternative for Girls, a non-profit assisting homeless and high-risk girls and young women. Tickets start at $75 here.

Dec. 7

I Heart Dogs Rescue Fundraiser

Urbanrest Brewing Company

2615 Wolcott St., Ferndale

Urbanrest Brewing Company will transform into an art studio to help our four-legged friends. The event welcomes attendees to paint pet-themed pottery pieces, which will be ready for pick up a week after at the Creative Arts Studio in Royal Oak. Proceeds will benefit the I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven. Reserve your pottery pieces here starting at $36.

Kidney Ball

Join WRIF’s Screamin’ Scott as he hosts the 12th annual Rock 4 Tots. More than 50 Detroit musicians will come together to raise money and collect toys for children in need. Proceeds benefit “No Child Without a Christmas,” an initiative of the City of Wayne Goodfellows. Entry is $5 or an unwrapped toy.
