Holiday season has finally arrived! Make the most of this special time with your kids and follow along with LittleGuide Detroit to discover events, activities and classes near you.
1. Go on a Hay Ride
Simple pleasures like hayrides make big memories for little kids. Hop on the hay, and enjoy a short ride through the park or the orchard at a special event this fall.
2. Peppa Pig Play Day
Make it a Peppa Pig play day! “Peppa Pig Live” is coming to the Fox Theatre and Peppa Pig World of Play is open for daily fun at Great Lakes Crossing.
3. National Fire Prevention Week
National Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 6-12, and across the country fire stations are opening their doors to let families see their equipment and learn about fire safety. Check out our guide to fire station open house events happening across Metro Detroit.
4. Celebrate Day of the Dead
Celebrate the Day of the Dead at the DIA with special performances by Ballet Folklórico de Detroit, make sugar skulls for free at the drop-in workshop and admire the beautiful displays at the Ofrendas exhibition.
5. Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat on Tillson Street — an elaborately decorated neighborhood in Romeo, or at one of the many tricks or treat, trunk or treat, treats on the trail events around town.
