Beacon Park, Detroit
Experience art, culture and fun at Beacon Park’s interactive Los Trompos exhibit. The spinning tops come straight from Mexico City and make their debut on Cinco De Mayo.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12, and there are lots of events happening around town to make the day extra special. You can also take a shopping trip downtown to find the perfect gift — here are our top picks.
Goldfish Swim School
Summer will be here before we know it, and that means trips to beaches and waterparks. We all enjoy some fun in the sun, but we want to be safe too. For Water Safety Awareness Month Goldfish Swim School is hosting free water safety events at multiple locations on May 18.
Put on your red, white and blue, and pack up the lawn chair for a front-row seat of honoring the lives lost to protect our country.
