Spring has sprung, warm weather is here to stay and we couldn’t be more excited to get out and play and explore! Here are some of our favorite events happening in May. Follow along with LittleGuide Detroit and discover more events, activities, and classes near you.

 1. Visit Downtown Detroit

Spring is the perfect time for a visit to downtown Detroit and we can’t wait to head to Flowers Day at Eastern Market and Los Trompos at Beacon Park! While downtown, don’t forget to visit the Detroit riverfront which was just named the best riverwalk in America!

2. See Dinosaurs Come to Life

This month dinosaurs are taking over Canterbury Village for a larger-than-life Dino Stroll and it’s the perfect outing for dino-loving kiddos!

3. Swim Safety Month at Aqua-Tots

May is National Water Safety Month. Get a jump start on summer safety by enrolling in a swim class at our favorite local swim schools!

4. “Drive-In” to a Family Movie

Another one of our favorite local drive-in movie theaters is officially open for the season! Hop in the car and head to the Summer Drive-In at USA Hockey Arena for some awesome family fun.

5. Find a Fun Summer Camp

The school year is coming to an end and summer is right around the corner. Now is the perfect time to sign your kids up for a fun local summer camp. From Appleseed Camp at Blake’s Farm to all of the amazing options at your local YMCA, you’re sure to find something for every age.
