Brace yourself, we have another full month of winter and it’s a long one (Happy Leap Year!). Get out of the house and have some fun so you don’t go stir crazy. Follow along with LittleGuide Detroit to discover events and activities near you — and check out these activities this month.
1. Celebrate Groundhog Day
The month kicks-off with Groundhog Day and we can’t wait to see if our furry friend sees his shadow or not. Take your kids to learn about animals and the great outdoors at a local Nature Center.
2. Celebrate Valentine’s Day
3. Jam out at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra
Our littles love music and we can’t wait to Jazz, Wiggle and Giggle at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on February 15th. Kids 6 and older will enjoy celebrating Musical Heroes at 11am with music from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman and more!
4. Shiver On The River at Belle Isle
Belle Isle is a great place to visit during the winter months and Shiver On The River brings even more FREE fun to one of our favorite places. From children’s games to rescue demonstrations by the Coast Guard and more.
5. Indulge on Fat Tuesday
Tuesday, February 25th is Fat Tuesday and the perfect excuse to indulge in a Packzi. Take your kids out for a special treat at a local bakery for a ‘giant donut’.
