There are only a few weeks left of 2019 and we’re ready to make the most of them. Between the daily routine and holiday gatherings, try to find time to make special memories with your kids…we’re here to help! Here are some ideas to get you started. Follow along with LittleGuide Detroit to discover more events and activities near you.
1. Say hello to Santa
Meet the man in the big red suit: Santa AND his reindeer are bringing holiday magic to cities across metro Detroit!
2. Go holiday shopping downtown
Our parents (and grandparents) have memories of Christmas shopping downtown and now our kids can, too. Shop local at holiday markets and retail shops along Woodward (including a new H&M), then strap on skates or stop by the cozy pop-ups at Cadillac Lodge and ‘The Story.’
3. Check out Noel Night
Ready for more fun downtown? Noel Night is Saturday, Dec. 7th and more than 100 Midtown venues are participating, including the Detroit Institute of Arts and Michigan Science Center (both are free to the public). Can’t make it? The Belle Isle Holiday Stroll is Friday, December 13th.
4. Peep the holiday lights
Brighten up the dark nights with holiday lights. From casual strolls through the Detroit Zoo to horse-drawn wagon rides along a “magical trail,” here are the best places to see Christmas lights in Detroit.
5. Party like it’s 2020
