Morning Glory is taking pre-orders for paczki which cost $12 for six and $22.50 for one dozen. Flavors include raspberry, lemon, strawberry, apple, custard and Bavarian crème and will be in a limited supply in the store on Fat Tuesday.

La Strada Dolci e Caffe is serving up a special menu with special guest, Italian chef Francesco Straface. Straface is the executive chef at Della Fine in Rome, owner of catering company Ceno a Casa and a private chef who has cooked for diplomats, celebrities and other prominent figures. From now until March 9, Straface will cook for La Strada as a guest chef and will serve limited-time dishes such as carpaccio di pesce spada, tuna al prosciutto and octopus catalon salad, along with La Strada favorites like spaghetti alla carbonara, margherita pizza and an assortment of pastries. Regular lunch and dinner dishes will continue to be offered throughout the week.

    Sad that the March 3rd trunk show was included in this week’s update, which wasn’t emailed out until March 4th. Would have loved to attend.
