In “Pride and Joy: The Marvin Gaye Musical,” you will be transported into Gaye’s world and see his experiences in his music and love life. The musical will also feature 28 songs from his Motown catalog. Tickets start at $55 on Ticketmaster.

Spice up your afternoon strolls in the park at the Eliza Howell Park Walk. You can explore a trail with a nature expert and see over 30 species of songbirds, flowers, nesting snails and many other creatures. Admission is free and you can register on Eventbrite.

Detroit Riverfront Run

9 a.m. for 5k

Support the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and get some exercise at the Detroit Riverfront Run. All participants of this 5k and 10k run and walk will receive a T-shirt and medal. The top female and male participants in each age group will receive an award. After the race, you can head to Atwater Brewery for a celebratory brunch and receive 10% off your bill. Registration is $40 per participant.
