It’s finally starting to feel like fall outside, which means its time to start stocking your closet full of this season’s essential pieces. From sweaters, to shoes, to sunglasses, I’ve rounded up my 5 fall essentials, from local retailers, to help you get ready for your most stylish fall yet!
My first essential for fall are these awesome girlfriend style jeans. They’re a more feminine version of boyfriends jeans because they feature a high rise waist line with a slimmer fit, which I love. You can find these girlfriend jeans at Caruso Caruso in downtown Birmingham. Their denim selection is amazing and I never have a problem finding a pair I like.
Cardigan Sweater and Velvet Loafers
Two more items on my essentials list for fall are blue velvet loafers from Sundance Shoes and a long black cardigan sweater from Caruso Caruso. I’m obsessed with these shoes, they’re the perfect every day shoe, combining two popular trends this season. A black cardigan sweater is a versatile, easy, item to have in your closet. I wear it so much! From casual to dressy, you can wear it so many different ways all season long.

Everyone needs a black moto jacket. It’s a great staple that goes with everything and will never go out of style. This jacket from Jaus mixes suede and leather, giving it a unique and edgy look. Looking for something different? It comes in other colors too!

My last fall essential is a great pair of sunglasses. Since you wear sunglasses all year round, it’s important to have a great pair that can be worn with a variety of looks. I opted for this silver mirrored pair from Caruso Caruso. These sunglasses add an edgy twist to all of my outfits. From sweaters to moto jackets, I can wear these with everything this season.
