Sweet Spring Style
By Liz Braga of All We Are blog
I really love sharing things with people close to me, and that is how I view my blog, All We Are. It’s an extension of the conversations I might have with my girlfriends, my coworkers or my mom.
If I can turn something I’m passionate about into something that makes a fellow woman or mama’s life easier, then it really makes it all worth it. I also love showing Detroit and its suburbs in such a positive light. I try to view my readers as an extension of myself — and I’m just a real, normal person with a husband and a daughter.
Here, I model what I consider the top three style trends for spring. I hope you’ll find something you can’t wait to try!
EMBELLISHED SWEATERS AND BLUSH PINK ACCENTS
For me, fashion is great because it gives me a way to express myself through my clothes. This spring, I love the trend of embellished details on otherwise ordinary items like sweaters, shirts and even denim.
I loved pairing this sweater with my favorite step-hem jeans and tennis shoes, but also plan to wear it with a midi-length pleated skirt and heels or espadrilles for Easter or Mother’s Day brunch.
I also have been incorporating the color blush into everything I wear lately; this jacket adds a lightweight pop to any outfit this spring.
Sweater: Embroidered Flamingo sweater, $64, ASOS.com. Jeans: Citizens of Humanity Rocket high-rise skinny jeans, $188, Caruso, Caruso, Bimringham. Stan Smith Adidas classics, $74.99, Nordstrom. Bag: Blue nylon tote bag, $34.94, Old Navy. Jacket: Pink hidden
zip drawstring hem hooded jacket, $36, us.shein.com.
For me, floral prints are more a lifestyle than a trend, but I’ve never been incorporating more floral into my wardrobe than I am now for spring and summer.
I love how lightweight this dress is, and the collar and length make it perfect to wear almost anywhere, even work.
On the weekends, I’m loving it paired with a casual pair of shoes, but it can be easily dressed up for date night by pairing it with a pair of wedges or open-toe booties.
JUMPSUITS AND CULOTTES
I love a good jumpsuit, especially when it can be dressed up. I will be wearing this versatile version to showers and weddings this spring and summer. The culottes-style pants make it almost look like a midi-dress and give it an extra interesting detail.
I’m all about being real. If something doesn’t fit into my actual everyday life, I don’t talk about it on the blog. To me, All We Are is all about finding the beauty in every day. NS
