Please describe why the nominee is a SEEN Changemaker:

Kirsten is the epitome of a "changemaker". As a recent college graduate of Clemson University, Kirsten turned down countless opportunities to make lots of money and climb the corporate ladder in order to dedicate her life to helping others. Kirsten is the Community Relations Manager at Camp Casey, a local nonprofit that brings horses and respite to children with cancer and rare blood disorders.

Tell us about the individual’s accomplishments:

Kirsten spends her time spreading awareness about Camp Casey in an effort to recruit families who could benefit from Camp Casey's services, encourage others to volunteer and raises funds for the grassroots charity. Kirsten sits on many committees, is a member of countless service networking groups and does everything she can to make lives better for local sick children and their families.

How is he/she impacting the community or the lives of people in Metro Detroit or across the world.

Kirsten is impacting the community by lending her gifts, kindness and compassion to a small (but growing) nonprofit that does big things on a shoestring budget. Camp Casey reaches over 1600 people a year through its 3 cost-free programs and that is only possible because of Kirsten's talents.
