Kerry Doman has been helping to change the narrative of what it means to live, work and play in Detroit for over a decade. After moving back home to Detroit after living in Chicago, she noticed a big difference in the lifestyle of young adults in the Motor City verses the Windy City. Kerry created After 5 Detroit to help young professionals find the fun in Detroit when it was a lot harder to do. When businesses started to relocate downtown she launched Connect After 5 and the After 5 Intern programs to help companies attract and retain top talent by showcasing all the great activities Detroit has to offer. After becoming a new mom in 2016, she realized that parents want to know what to do with their kids in Detroit and in the surrounding area. In 2018 she launched LittleGuide Detroit to help parents and caregivers find events, classes and activities across metro Detroit. The site has become the most popular family website in the region and helps to showcase metro Detroit as a family-friendly destination for people who live here and looking to visit.
Kerry is a working mom with two young boys running a company with 4 high performing entities that she started from the ground up.
Kerry makes it easy for individuals to find what to do in Metro Detroit but on a larger scale she is helping to shift the narrative of what Detroit has to offer residents and visitors to the region. Detroit's long-term success will be built around attracting and retaining young talent and young families. After 5 Detroit's business entities are committed to making it easy for people to see why they want to live and work in southeast Michigan.
