With only seven American cities on the Arctic Monkeys’ tour route this summer, Detroit is lucky to secure a spot. Band members Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cooks and Nick O’Malley will perform songs from their latest album “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino” along with past hits at the Masonic Temple. This is the band’s first tour since the AM Tour concluded in 2014. Tickets start at $75.45 on StubHub.

The Voicenotes Tour celebrates Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated Charlie Puth’s second studio album “Voicenotes.” Along with Hailee Steinfeld, Puth will travel across North America this summer before beginning his international leg of the tour at the end of October. The tour is part of the Honda Civic Tour, an annual concert tour. Tickets start at $21 on Ticketmaster.

In addition to their residency at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, the members of Boyz II Men are hitting the road this summer for an international tour. They will perform past hits as well as songs from their most recent doo-wop album “Under the Streetlight.” This R&B group won four Grammy Awards, nine American Music Awards and three Billboard Awards. Shakira’s El Dorado World Tour highlights the Colombian singer’s latest album “El Dorado,” which was released in May 2017. The singer received the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album for El Dorado. The album’s title is a nod to a legendary city of gold in South America. El Dorado World Tour is Shakira’s sixth tour. Tickets start at $40.50 on Ticketmaster.

Dearborn native Andrew Bazzi is returning home for The Cosmic Tour. This tour celebrates his first studio album, “Cosmic,” which hit No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Bazzi’s popular song “Mine,” which debuted last October, reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and typically closes the show. Tickets start at $111 on Live Nation for Aug. 7 and $69.68 on Live Nation for Aug. 8.

The On the Run II Tour is Beyonce and Jay-Z’s second world tour together (the first On the Run Tour was in 2014). The set list includes a mix of both Beyonce and Jay-Z songs, in addition to some duets. The duo also showcases videos of their family, including their children Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir Carter, in between songs. Collectively, Beyonce and Jay-Z have won 43 Grammy Awards. Drake, along with hip-hop trio Migos, will grace the stage across North America this summer and fall for the Aubrey and The Three Migos Tour. This tour celebrates Drake’s fifth studio album, “Scorpion,” which features hit songs “God’s Plan” and “In My Feelings.” The three-time Grammy Award winner will perform two nights at Little Caesars Arena. Soul singer, songwriter and actress Gladys Knight and R&B group The O’Jays are joining forces for a performance at the Fox Theatre. Knight has won seven Grammy Awards and reached No. 1 for singles in pop, gospel, R&B and adult contemporary. She released her most recent album “Where My Heart Belongs” in 2014. The O’Jays have had many chart-topping pop and R&B singles, like “Love Train” and “Put Your Hands Together.” They were the first black vocal group to perform in American arenas in the 1970s and 1980s. This year marks the 39th annual Detroit Jazz Festival presented by Quicken Loans. The Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation puts on concerts and programs throughout the year, with the annual festival Labor Day Weekend. More than 30 artists will perform at the festival, including artist-in-residence and jazz pianist Chick Corea and Resident Ensemble Terri Lyne Carrington and Esperanza Spalding. Admission is free.
